I use the 200 for the rear, I may go 130 on the front in the future.

Gav.
Thats very near where I used to live, a little town called Grantown-on-Spey, we lived in a big corner house above my dads garage business, loved it up there I think its a chemist now!

A good ride is one from which you can walk away. A great ride is one after which you can use the bike again.

Ive done some miles with both brands. Ive not experienced much higher mileage with avons though and ive gone through two sets now, the rear lasted around 500miles more than the bridgestone... neither here or there really. Definitely worth buying when you take into account theyre cheaper and made in Britain though

Russ

Have you run Storms yet? There getting far superior mileage than other tires including other Avon tyres. The Storm 2 Ultra is amazing and sticky. I won't go back to single compound.

We stopped there for lunch Alan . Every year at Thunder in the Glens, the 3000+ Harleys have a run to Grantown from Aviemore

Single track road Ken, with beautiful scenery, well worth taking it easy for
When you're following 2 custom Harleys it has to be leisurely
The guy on the 1200 Bandit was way ahead.....been there, done that, with my Streetfighter.
Did you not travel that road when you were up here, or were you guys more west ?
With the Warrior, we didn't go for the fastest or top handling bike, we went for the best allrounder bike

Gav.

Haha, you're right DFW, there's a lot of twisties up here, but great fun
Our favourite run is the Lochearnhead to Glencoe road, don't know if you did the west coast when you were here ? If you were at Tomintoul, you probably passed through my town and never said hello, next time maybe
The Bridgestone I had lasted around 4000 miles on the Scottish roads. The Storms were basically put on for the motorway driving to Germany and Switzerland and a couple of times down to the south of England.

I'm not sure if we did that or not. For most of the trip we didn't get below Fort William, but I was just following my buddy that was raised there so I didn't really have to know where I was going. I do know that the road to Applecross was a fun one, and then we rode the entire North coast before heading over to Isle of Skye for two days. You guys have the most amazing beaches that are too darn cold to use. But they sure are nice to look at!

Dr Feelgood trip - YouTube

Gav.
Nice video, real life roads there, reminds me of some southeast Georgia roads. Some folks would not think about runnin a Warrior on those less traveled narrow roads, but that is where the real character of a Warrior is exposed. My most challenging twisties/sweepers here may have more bumps than that, it can be a real "work out" for the bike and me....
