It's the size of the hole on the center of the adaptor plate that differs between older and newer models.

but if i was too stupid to understand that these would or wouldn't fit onto my '02...than perhaps it would be fair to flip you for it...

Are those after market rear-sets or something you made? I miss not being able to put my feet back (racer position) during long hauls.
