Someone ran a 130 cobra up front and it screwed up their fender and tire. HG571?
I have a 130 venom on mine and at high speeds it will slightly rub. I have a small spot on the front fender where it has heated the paint and discolored it.

I'm running a 130 up front right now, and I think I am seeing shades of what happens back when someone tries to run a 210 on the rear.....I'm watching close and will report back with more info.....wonder if anyone here has run multiple 130's up front, and let us know the wear process.....
typical squeezing a bigger tire on an oem rim trends to result in a "crowning" of the tire, and premature wearing right smack down the middle. Like a flat band around the tire... |

It depends on the 130, look at the manufacturer's website for the exact dimensions including overall width mounted, and overall outside diameter. Some are too tall to fit under the front fender, and some might not like an R1 front fender mod. The 130 front tire depends to some extent on your particular bike's set-up.
I believe I've seen several posts with a Storm 120 front and a Cobra 250 rear and it works just fine. I can't see any reason for them to not play well together. I've seen (and had) combinations that are far more dis-similar. I haven't read anything indicating a dual-compound will not play well with a single compound, and I ran a Storm 200mm rear with a Dunlop 120 front for a year with zero troubles at any speed. Quote:

yeah that was me, i tried the avon 130 cobra upfront and it ate my fender. i have the avon 250 cobra rear tire on a 18x18.5 wheel and the avon ultra storm 2 upfront on the stock wheel size 18x3.5. the combination seems to work great, never had any issues.
