Default How many are using a 190 55 17 rear tire?

How many of us ARE /or HAVE USED the 190 55 17 (Pilot Road 2 OR Pirelli Angel) rear tire on their Warriors?

I have the 190 PR2 on right now. They say they last alot longer but that's a bad thing for me, because I don't like the look of the 190. They say you can't tell a difference but my last tire was a Avon storm 200 and it looked way better.

Just installed the Pilot 2. Just an easy test ride so far. Way better than my OE Dunlops that were under inflated by first owner and were dangerous. Will continue to update however, not many miles 'till spring...

i have a 190 and i love it. its much lighter than the 200mm. i could feel the increased handling right away. i wont go back to a 200mm tire.

I have a PR2 on right now, and had 1 on before it as well. The first still had roughly 1/3 of it's usable life yet, but someone thoughtfully left a couple roofing nails in the road for me. The handling is a *ton* better than the OEM, which is all I had on it before. The lifespan is much better as well, I had just under 10k miles on it. The original rear was done around 3800 miles.

Quote from LeaderDuece on another tire thread:

"Would recommend the Avons over the Bridgestones. Even better, get the Avon in a 190. It is still something like a 194, so it's almost a 200, but handles better and is usually a decent amount cheaper"

Have the 190 Avon Storm 2 and love it. Much quicker turn in, better handling.

Muchas Gracias Docker

I was going to say the same thing.

Oh wait, I did

But isn't the regular 190 a 50, not a 55? So would that mean a 55 is a bit taller? Can't remember how that works.

But I'm thinking I have a 190-50...

I forgot to mention the handling part. I don't have many twisties around here so I never really noticed a difference in that aspect.
