Default What? - Maybe I'm not gonna be popular here BUT...

Sorry - but if I didn't read it myself I wouldn't believe it!

rquest thinks that I can send Items from Ireland to LA using a USPS flat rate box!

He also thinks that $16.00 USD is too expensive to send something halfway across the planet!

Forgive me for my surprise because I always assumed that if you posted something in Ireland, Anpost - the Irish postal service would deal with it.
If you posted something in Australia, Auspost - the Australian postal service would deal with it.
If you live in South Africa....
So how the heck am I supposed to send something over 5000 miles from Ireland - in a United States Postal Service box.

I am told that "You should have given me the outside diameter because $16.00 is too steep. I know you can ship them for $5.35."

I'm obviously overcharging on the shipping - is that what that means?

COME ON rquest! Is it me??? Why was this posted in the EU classified forum?

You think $16.00 is too steep for a pair of Big shots baffles?

Why am I pissed off? - At the end of the day, f someone says the costs are too high on something - fair enough - I understand that.

BUT- I wasted my time yeterday driving to the post office to get you a price for something you didn't really want or need - but it was free.

QUOTE: "I would love 1st dibs! I'm still looking for that special sound vs performance"

Would $5.35 have made it more special? - Too right! ...I would have called the Pope because it would have been been a MIRACLE!

You had no real need for them - You ain't even running Big shots - and if you REALLY wanted them, $16.00 would be VERY reasonable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought I ought to include this observation in my thread, just to point out why good-will give aways are a waste of time.

THIS give away thread is now closed as far as I'm concerned.

I understand where you're coming from jarv. Having bought and sold parts from as far away as finland people who normaly don't deal in international shipping or shipping in general have no idea what it costs nowadays with the rising fuel costs.
Shipping anything from ireland to California for $16 is a deal, i shipped a rear brake master cylinder assembly to the UK from connecticut and it cost over $35.

Got to say a big thanks to Jarv for the baffles, I offered to pay him for them and pay for the shipping but he would have none of that and was happy to post them just for the shipping costs. THEN after realising we were both going to the Bike show in Birmingham he dropped them off there for me FOC!! TOP MAN is Jarv!! Thanks again mate look forward to buying you a pint when we meet.
