After struggling to open the transfer case fill hole with a large washer, 50 cent coin (not thick enough), screw driver, crow bar, shovel, etc, I looked into all the junk I have removed from the bike over the years and voila!!! Best part is....FREEEEEEEEEEEE

Part #41: STAY 2, 5PX-14414-01-00

It has the perfect curve and thickness (allows it to stay put and not slip off), comes with...

PCIII advanced maps

So how much better is a map for each individual cylinder vs a single map for both as most PC maps? Very few custom "advanced" maps exist for the Warrior, but there is at least one good one that may shed some light on the subject.

Description:

2007 Yamaha Road Star Warrior
Speed Star Exhaust
Baron's Big Air kit
Rob`s Dyno Service Custom Advance Map 05-20-07

Here is fuel table 1:

Posted 04-25-2011 at 11:35 AM by rx_warrior

IMHO, the most important things about a custom map are improved drivability which includes smoothness of the throttle (especially at low speed in the 0-20% TPs), responsiveness, and reduction in popping and pooping. I think you got some decent numbers there. If you want you can send me your map and I will compare it to other maps to see if I can incorporare parts of it into the Burrito.

Here is a map I made by averaging all the maps that closely resemble my map in the hope that averaging...

Warrior Basic injection and compensation

Posted 04-25-2011 at 11:34 AM by rx_warrior

OK I am back up. Now let's discuss some points:

I think in order to truely understand how the PCIII works and how different maps affect performance, we have to first understand the fundamentals of injection duration for the Warrior. I encourage eveyone to read pages 1-3 through 1-29 in the service manual as I don't have the time to go over all the details.

These figures are woth a thousand words:

Comparing Dynojet canned maps

OK so I have been studying the PCIII maps provided by Dynojet for quite some time now, and here is my priliminary conclusions:

1. Most of the maps are junk!
2. There are major inconsistancies among the maps when comparing mods (i.e. open velocity stacks vs Baron's BAK)
3. See #1

Take for example:

map M403-028:
2002-2004 Yamaha Warrior
Vance & Hines Propipe
Yamaha power up kit
Open velocity stacks

vs....
