Great news on both fronts Jim. Very happy you are healthy and bringing your beast-bike back up. It's going to be a memorable first-time for certain!

Mike thanks for the info, I do have the Shoria Management system and it has been on it sense November when I received it. I did some reading, reset the charger and it brought it up to almost 14v's, from just over 12v But there was another reason why things weren't working , I had missed one of the positive connections, So I am going to attribute to why nothing was working.

Jim the Shorai is unique, try putting it on discharge-recharge. Their website for instructions. Probably on store and it goes into recovery if needed. Anyway. Requires their multi-channel charger. It is really hard to kill a lithium battery having multi-channel maintenance charging. As far as I know Shorai is the only one. Competitors do not acknowledge this.

If you have the Shorai charger it's likely you can recover.

Glad you seem healthy. Still dig your bike it is inspired work. Wish I could mimic for Warrior v2.

**** that could have been it. Curtains. This just doesn't seem or feel right. Do you have someone advocating for you? Someone there when you are too tired or ill to think on your feet?

I ended up taking it off and putting it back up to the factory location. I was going to put a different headlight on but never could find one I liked. I think its sitting in my storage locker lol.

Hey Jim, thanks it fit perfectly, like the easy on/off mounts, not too tall and truth is hard to see on the bike. And your shipping package rocked. You had more weight in bubble wrap than windshield. Haven't had any long rides yet but it blocks wind off my upper body. What a deal. Just need to make time for riding now.

sounds like he is not really interested in doing it. He is very expensive and it is not really that hard to mask off the mesh, color coat the flames and then unmask and clear everything including the mesh. Try some local body shops or hot rod shops. depending on the color you wanyt they can usually get you a good price as they can use the primer and clear coat from a car job and would only have to get the color you want and it would be a very little quantity. I think he just wants to do the big jobs but if you think that it is around $2000 for a known painter to do the two fenders and tank then $600 is not really outlandish. I ado agree however that ther is a lot of masking involved and unfortunatley due to the compound curve of the top section of the Mako I have to bond the mesh in. sometimes you can also find a new airbrush artist who is trying to make a name for himself who will give a good price and this would be an excellent canvas. . let me know how it goes

Hi Jim, for the '03 Onyx w/Indigo Flames (factory codes #5PX7 #5PX8) the tins are painted with Yamaha Black paint color number 0033 and Colorrite.com 5135. Yamaha failed to document the Indigo. I think it might be a decal under there. But if its paint then I think its likely the '02 Indigo color: Dark Violet Metallic A (DVMA) paint color number 0778 and Colorrite.com 5996 over a base coat of 1996. This info comes from the 02 and 03 Yamaha Technical Bulletins covering paint colors, parts manuals and the Yamaha/Star parts website, and colorrite. None of those places speak to the Indigo color. Again, it could be a decal under there.

I've been after this for awhile and you are the first person to ask in years. Sorry I don't have the perfect answer.

Hey jimduncan,I got the chin spoiler from member Christok here on the forum, and I am making the velocity stacks if you are interested. The reason my bike is so clean is because i have hidden all the wires on the neck and bars redid the front headlight and put a 280 and new fender on the rear.Moved the rectifier under the bike and re-ran the wires so you can't see them, and a bunch of other stuff.I can do the hidden brake mod also. Thanks for looking.
