I'm truly sorry about your dad.I am about to become a father myself and have been seriously thinking about the risks involved ,and wanting to be around for my child as long as i can. For some people the draw is far to great and becomes a part of who you are and I think I am one of those people , I have had a motorcycle of some sort since i was 10 and i am now 37 and cant imagine not having a motorcycle as stupid as that sounds. Some people live life avoiding all the dangerous activities in life only to get old wishing they had done more with themselves, or to have some freak event take them out any how. My dad just had a stroke at 60 yrs old and regrets not doing all things he had wanted to do like keeping his motorcycle , that my mother made him sell when i was 10. I would keep the book because odds are you have the motorcycle gene and will want to read it some day and you will see that you just cant fight it ,or maybe you don't in which case i would be in

I am truly sorry for your loss. I lost my father 2 years ago to SJS (drug reaction). It was REAL hard on me as I am sure with you to lose someone so suddenly.

    As a side note:
My brother just pulled off a 2nd FANTASTIC Fishing Tourney in his honor.

The first went very well despite we had no clue what we were doing. It brought in $15K and every penny went to the INTREPID FALLEN HEROES FUND. This charity assist our soldiers in rehabilitation from sustained injuries.

This year went even better and even before the auction began, he was up $9K from straight donations. The auction again this year went with everyone just throwing money. This community is fantastic with their generosity. The Captains took approx 30 wounded soldiers out fisihing. We even saw a few return from last year sicne they had such a good time.

The town of Sargent is has the biggest heart in Texas. This community also opened up their own homes to these soldiers, feeding them taking them fishing and genneraly treating them like Kings and Queens.

Auctions were for donated paintings, fishing gear, Astros tickets, fishing trips, dinners etc. The boat Captains offered and gave so much. These guys are truly the best as well. I will be riding there next year and hopefully I can get a few friends to shoot down there with us.

The Iron Cactus hosted and has GREAT food as well. The whole event was Texas and Texans at their everyday best.

I am a little biased but they just ain't no better place than Texas.

AS A NOTE: This years event brought in 43,000 dollar for our soldiers.

    Good job 'bro !

Gone. Too much editing. Baby about it, yes. I would like to have real discussions. If I want to have things not reported/discussed\deleted I would watch main stream media. This was one of my alternatives. Later all.

Sounds like a good read. Count me in.

And I too am sorry for the loss. Words can't explain the sympathy I have for one losing a father like that. I never had the opportunity to meet him but from what I have heard, he was a one in a million.

I'm so happy I can't even feel my arms!

Sorry for your loss, I hope some day you will want to ride again. The book sounds great, but since I won the site give away a few months ago do not put my name in the hat.

Free  Free  Free  Did someone say free?  Hey I'm all about the cheap, so Bo count me in as well, besides I can read a little bit, not good as Dwight but I can read.  And as has been said, I too am so sorry for your loss, it'd be rough on me to lose my Dad.

There is a trade-off to being crippled, you get the best parking, but the limping really sucks.
My wife calls me "Ol' 2-stroke," but I've never owned a 2-stroke bike in my life, I can't figure out where she gets that from. Hmmmm?
