..... I looked up the specs on his harley 1/4 mile time a it is 13.5s. So something must not be right. .....
If you're looking up the magazine specs then the Warrior is published at 12.5s in the 1/4 mile while some folks here have gotten that and even quicker on stock Warriors...I would venture to say driver/pilot variables are the cause if you're pulling 13.5's...
Like everyone said, clutchless shifting makes a huge difference when dragracing. The Warrior's clutch is a wet synchronous clutch and is made to allow for this type of shifting. In simple words when you are on the throttle, the clutch plates are in full contact and full traction. Once you get off the throttle, the clutch plates don't spin as quickly in full throttle and thus experience a sudden decrease in centrifugal force causing the clutch plates to not engage fully (thus simulating the effect of pulling in your clutch lever) and allowing for the upshift to occur at that instance... at the instance you let off the throttle, upshift with your foot like you normally would absent of pulling in the clutch lever. You have to time it such that as soon as you let off the throttle, you are upshifting with your feet. It will slide right in like butter and you will take off like a bat outa hell....
Of course, this is only what I understand from reading as I never speed and obey all laws and do at least 5 mph under the speed limit and have never won or partaked in any dragraces ever....
