    warrior love

Yesterday evening on my way home from work I'm doing 70....ish on the interstate. I come up a huge hill into town and see the black clouds of a storm infront of me.  Sure enough, it started raining about a minute later, I've never even ridden in rain before, and this was a full on thunderstorm.  I decide it's probably better to get off the interstate, and hop onto the old interstate into town. I got completely soaked to the skin. I'm wearing all my riding gear, but it's still really bad. The roads actually started to flood, but I followed the cars who were clearing the way. A couple of times, the water spray came up to my boots. In retrospect I shouldn't have kept riding and just pulled over and waited it out.

The point to this thread was my warrior didn't miss a beat, it never felt loose or out of control. Always sure footed and got me home safe and sound. I'm sure people were staring at the idiot on the bike during the thunderstorm, but I didn't care, my warrior is the best!

Same thing happened to me exactly one week ago.  Torrential downpour, full leathers, had to dump the water out of my boots after I took them off, even my underwear was wet.  But, the Warrior didnt' miss a beat.  Never slipped and felt rock steady under me, even at 50 mph.  I love this bike.

Thats a bitchin bike. And I mean bitchin, like a Camaro.

I've experienced the same, but with rain gear on. Warrior performed fine and I stayed mostly dry after riding in the rain for a couple of hours.

I got caught in a thunderstrom this past weekend for about 50 miles. I figured i had already been in it for 4 miles and got completely soaked so why not ride it out. I was equally suprised with the handling in rain as i felt just as comfortable. I was so pissed that i was getting drenched that i was doing about 85-90 (I-35 is pretty straight so not much thinking was necessary) and the thing had as much pull as ever....my old bike would have started coughing and crap in all that rain.

Even a fish wouldn't get in to trouble if it kept its mouth shut...

I ride in the rain almost every day in the summer.  For the last 10 yrs ive ridden a vulcan, and I must say, I feel alot more stable on the warrior in the rain.  Handles very well, with no slipping around corners.  Just have to watch the power.  It will break loose if you give it too much throttle

No kidding about the constant rain during summertime! It seems to be raining, almost everyday, here in Orlando this summer. I can count more wet rides than dry ones, these past few weeks, and am nothing short of wildly impressed with "Candy"s performance, even with the 210 Metz tire on the back. I've broken loose once, but it was because of a happy right hand, mid-turn.

Plus, I get to polish her up with a valid excuse :)

I know your feeling, man! It always amazes me how the Warrior handles in the rain.

I get to ride in the rain once in a while too... I think one of the worst was when coming back from Warriorfest this year for last 2.5 hours I was riding at night in pouring rain w/ 35mph winds. Another one was first Sunday of June when we were on a group ride it started raining so hard that all the cars were pulling over on the highway, but about 6 of us (in group of 50) kept riding...

I have been wet more times then I can count and the warrior has always performed well in the rain. Besides it is only water.Surprise
