So I just bought HK Xcellerators from another member of the forum. I've had them on for about a week. I'm thinking that I like it, so I leave it on. When my neighbor came back from the beach yesterday I was relocating my horn and we both decided that it was time to go get some gas...

He has a 05 Midnight warrior. Anyway...We're spitting around the bypass in York and a guy comes rolling up on a harley. I'm thinking that it was a roadking or something like that... I see my neighbor lean his head over to change lanes, so I did....Red light. The harley F&*#s up and pulls passed me in MY lane up to the light. Green light, I'm thinking that he's just being a douchebag and he's happy that he passed me Until I see the front of his bike lift and the rear squat. (This putz wants to run my warrior.) So I'm not having that.....He's now about 4 car lengths in front of me and I let it rip....I blew by him faster than he could see me in his mirror...hahahaha....Still getting smaller in my mirror. What a ding dong. When my neighbor finally got back up beside me, I looked in my mirror....The harley guy was sitting about a car length behind us at the next light. How sweet is that. Shut him down so bad he didn't even want to get near us again. And by the way....My neighbor passed him about 1 second after I did. When I passed him, he was in 3rd gear and I hit the rev limiter when I was right beside him in third gear.

Funny....I never had a bike that fast before. And I never spanked a harley like that either. That's liberating.

I'm not at all into Harley bashing but ever hear of the 'ol saying, "..run what you brung..."?

If the dude solicits the action, and the other person accepts the challenge then both deserves the outcome either way and it shouldn't matter what they ride at that point.  To dismiss the challenge just b/c the losers bike is in a different class is kinda calling "sour grapes"...In this case, it certainly sounds like the Harley guy put a challenge out there, shame on him for not sizing up the competition correctly...no foul on the play, he put it out there...

Now accepting the challenge in the first place from another bike which you feel is out of your league (above or below) is a whole n'other story....

Whenever I was out on the Busa, I had countless challenges.  I opted to not engage in most.  The ones I did accept were either other Busa's, the ZX14, or litre bikes that were cocky...any talk about this or that being the reason I or the other person loss was taken as pure whining...

Come on now....I'm not really that big on bashing Harleys (or ANY other bike/rider )either in general. But this guy called me out and maybe I should have just let him blow off some steam, but this was the only time that I was ever called out like that while I was on a bike that was able to bring them back to reality.

All that I'm saying is that it felt good to blow someone out of the water like that. So think what you will. You're all superior to me and more grown up I guess. I just thought that I'd share an experience that made me feel good to own a Warrior.

Keep in mind that I'm not a person that rides around looking for lower class bikes to humiliate but like you said...

I live in York, PA and everyone around here growls at you if you're not on a harley and "all bikes other than Harley's are junk." and for the record....there are a few (Probably more than I think) harley's around here that actually do have enough to punk a warrior. How am I supposed to knw which ones are and which ones aren't until I beat them. ehum....cruise beside them.

So go ahead and jump on the wagon and bash the guy that was all happy about FINALLY beating a Harley after 21 yrs being looked down at and beaten on my Jap bikes (The ones that I could afford.)... Whatever...

He called you out by pulling past you in your lane, what else could you have done but accept. I say "damn good job son" even if he was on a scooter and did that I would have did a burn out right beside him and smoke him out , then handed him his lunch. Go have a beer on me and celebrate

I had this little rice burner (corolla on steroids) play with me the other day. Im just cruising along and he come up even with me. Looks at me and floors it. I'm not a small boy and I know the warrior does not excell on the top end so I let him have his fun. Then as I come up on him again he stays even for a second and floors it again. Next light I saw him on the line and purposely split the traffic to get into his lane. Light turned green, I hear his little bumble bee exhaust getting weaker and weaker as I pull further and further away from him. Few miles down we stop even at another light and he gives me a thumbs up and a smile and sits there allowing me to in front of him at the green. Challenged, accepted, humbled.
