    Me vs Harley

I was just cruising down the hiway right lane about 70 miding my own buisness and this Harley goes blowin by me like nobody's buisness. He gets about 6 cars ahead and goes to the right lane.I drop to 4th to catch and decide to give him a fair chance with us both rolling about 80 we hit it.To my surprise he is hanging with me,actually I was horrified!!!! I wasn't paying attention to speedo or tach at this point and I hit my rev limiter in 4th and nail 5th now he's losing ground but not as much as I thought. We both go for the same exit and now under streetlights it looks like a Dyna but I'm not sure but he wasn't wearing a helmet which I find to be stupid. That was the closest a Harley ever came to beating me which means I need more power!!!!! I really didn't know they could run that good on top end but my 31 tooth may have handicapped me as well.

What do ya mean I ain't kind...just not ur kind!!!!

So I told him ya I have like 200. into the engine ....hehe  All in all we both had fun so who gives a rats a$$.

You should have seen who could stop faster!  Then that Sportster would have looked like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest!

Terry (Crusteel45) had a Harley that would definately make a believer out of ya.  He came down for Warrior Fest I with it and surprised a few of us die hard Harley bashers with it, myself included.  But he did have a fuktonne of money in it and still had problems with the bearings in the engine.  I don't remember what it was, they all look the same to me, kindof like the different versions of the Honda VTX's.  The only ones that I know and can pick out are the Skirtsters and the VNODs.  Some will surprise you in straight line accelleration, I emphasize the "You" as I've yet to find a naturally aspirated street legal Harley that will surprise the Rocket III.  But they do make good power to be little bikes. There is a trade-off to being crippled, you get the best parking, but the limping really sucks.
My wife calls me "Ol' 2-stroke," but I've never owned a 2-stroke bike in my life, I can't figure out where she gets that from. Hmmmm?

I actaully got beat my a Harley Dyna a few months ago. I was heading south down I-45 to Houston and saw him in the distance. I caught up to him and passed. Then the shoe was on the other foot, he caught me and we were blowing down the interstate doing 125 and pulling. To my surprise he slowly began pulling away. I couldn't believe it! I was sooooooo pissed. I know full well the HD had some serious mods to be able to keep up and pass me. At the very least he had a Baker 6 tranny but still, to lose to a Harley NEVER feels good. I'm glad I bought my Warrior and love the torque, but that day I wished I would have bought my second choice, the M109R. I'll be doing the BAK mod in a few weeks and won't be worrying about losing to HD's anymore. Buy the way, I have smoked several since that race.

If they didn't diss my bike,I would not injoy shutting them down. Faster than most but not all.  the new 110 inch Dyna or Softtail with the 6 speed and hydraulic clutch from the factory  will Run....but I still get the last laugh because they cost over $25,000. LOL and for that $25,000 they don't Stop any better!

    Re: Me vs Harley

This is an old story, there are a lot of Harleys out there that will destroy a stock warrior and quite a few that will humble the crap out of some highly modified warriors. If you have enough money, you can make a streetable Harley faster than any warrior and having a million aftermarket suppliers and mechanics doesn't hurt. Want to know how I know this? Sad

Yeah, friend of mine with a dyna did the same thing BUT he had cams, valves, carb, racing fuel and who knows what else in his.  I hung in there with him BUT when he broke the rear end loose on shifting into 3rd, I backed down because I thought he was going to lose it.  But he had me by a 1/2 a bike at that time and was pulling away.
