    Name that sound.

Last night I took the warrior out for about 75 - 80 mile run. When I put it up for the night in my garage, I hear a clicking sound coming from somwhere in the back of the bike when I would roll it through the garage. It sounds like it is resonating through the swing arm. Sometimes it sounds like is is coming from in front of the rear tire. Sometimes it sounds like it is coming from the brake area. nothing on the bike in the area the sound comes from even is warm to the touch. I first pulled the front pulley cover, everything is good there. I pulled the rear brake caliper, (when I get the clicking/popping sound) you can feel it if you are touching the brake caliper. All is good there. I roll the bike with the caliper off, it still makes the sound. I even pulled the rear wheel, all bearing are good. The bike does not do it when on a stand, only when the tire has weight on it. I am thinking maybe something in the shock linkage. You can't hear it with the bike running, and so far it has not affected anything about the bike. Is there a way to lube all the rear chasis link points without removing the swing arm?

    thanx in advance.

Mine was making a sound like that about a week ago.  I think the belt was too tight.  I put a new tire on, and adjusted the belt looser, and i dont hear it anymore.

I had my tire off today to check the wheel bearings so I re-installed it with a little less tension on the belt. It still does it. If I have to pull the swingarm to lube the pivot points I will go ahead and replace the belt, as it has about 21K with several burnouts on the stock belt.

Just check the belt for any damage I would not go replacing unless you find something wrong.I have 23 k miles on mine with original belt and I know other members here have much more.Might wanna to check the front pulley for tightness as there have been problems with that lossening.I put the 31 tooth on a nd torqued to 120 ft lb.

What do ya mean I ain't kind...just not ur kind!!!!

Already checked the front pulley, all is well there. The belt looks like it could go another 21K. I am thinkg about pulling the long bolt that the swing arm mounts with and greasing it.

    Any other suggestions are appreciated.

BTW.... I really want to leave the cards in the wheels, it makes it sound like I am passing a harley.  lol
