My Dad went home to Jesus (Thank You to All).

Hello my Brothers and Sisters on this Wonderful site.

I couldn't figure out how to post a picture on here of the most Wonderful man I will ever know,(other then my Lord and savior)

with tears in my eye's I'm typing this, so if i misspell or don't type the words just right please forgive me.

On Thursday 8/21/08 at 11:54 pm. My Dad and best friend ever. Rev. William Eugene Rowlett (Bill) Went to be with our Lord and Savior, after complications with 2 surgery's involving esophagus cancer. He fought a good fight.even the Doctor said he was a tough bird. I know that when he went to the Gate of Heaven all our friends and family that went before him were standing there waiting for him and as he walked up to the gates Jesus was standing in front of them, he opened the gates to Heaven and said welcome my good and faithful servant, welcome home, and the party started. I have nothing but good memory's of my Dad and know he is in the place he has always wanted to be . his Funeral will be Friday 08/29/08 and I know it will be a going home my Dad would love.

    love you all

    your bro.

With prayers my heart and soul go out to you.  Its a day I'm not looking forward to.  I can only guess how much pain you are in.  Please be careful, try to brave a little smile now and then, and remember you have one more friend upstairs now so keep the faith.

The dying part's gonna happen to all of us.  The going to heaven part, maybe not.  Try to be happy that you know that your dad's at least got the heaven part going for him too.  I won't pretend to understand (thank God I can't yet) what you're going through.  Best wishes.

I know what you are going through. I haven't had a day go by without thinking of pops.

I have my fathers obituary on the roof of my truck. He is watching over me and I can see him when I look up. Kinda goofy I know but it makes me feel good.

The hardest thing (for me) was thinking of what he went through at the end. It was heart wrenching. He kept us up in spirits and to know that now is the best.

I try not to think of those days since that was only a few in his glorious life he gave to us and mom. Think of the little things he did for you and the sacrifices he gave to make you a better person and a better life for your family. You are here sharing which speaks alot for you and his guidances. You are what he taught. Be that person he was and what he wanted to be.

You are still here with family, yours and here. I am sure he left many good people that also need you. Feed off each other to get through this.

I will pray for you and your family since he is already with on the good side now.

Gone. Too much editing. Baby about it, yes. I would like to have real discussions. If I want to have things not reported/discussed\deleted I would watch main stream media. This was one of my alternatives. Later all.

    Frank,

Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. Your father fought a great fight, and yes he was quite the tough bird. And you the ever faithful son, stayed by his side 'til the last moment. Thank you for always sharing your thought and feelings with us SoCal guys, and may your father rest in peace.....at least after he parties with Jesus and the rest of the family up in heaven.  Please know that the SoCal Warriors are here for you.

Re: My Dad went home to Jesus

    Frank,

I sure glad you have the Lord to comfort you. He's the ultimate comforter. My father went home on November 10, 2006 at the age of 97. I feel the same as you do. I can't remember a thing that Dad did was wrong or hurtful. He was loved by all and was truly my best friend. He had cancer 4 times the last two times was colon cancer. His last surgery was in October of 2006, a surgery from which he would never recover. I truly miss him but am so happy knowing that he's with the Lord.
May the Lord continue to comfort and reassure you.

    Duke
