Tell you what - why don't you show some support for the site before you start spamming it up fella!

Remember that government spends money only by taking that money out of the private economy. Put another way, when government taxes a dollar to “create” a job, it has taken a dollar out of the private economy that is no longer available to the private economy.

I've used that battery tender for years, on a couple different bikes.  Has always worked well for me.

I like that you're aware of spammers, but I assure you that is not our intent here. Before I orignially posted an "exclusive" rswarrior only coupon code, I checked with the site owner, Sean Kearney, he advised me to post on this thread: http://rswarrior.com/forums/8.aspx

I felt comfortable doing it because there seems to be a lot of random specials posted by many shops and business, be it local or e-comm.  We didn't even want to publicly post a code, we were hoping it would be in a members only part of the forum, but again, Sean advised us to post on the member discount thread.

Motorcycle Superstore created discount code specific to this site as a way to support to the rswarrior community. Our presence isn't meant to be intrusive.

Let's say its my fault. Embarrassed

I didn't start the conversation, but I think I probably went 'public' with it first (because inquiring minds want to know!).

The thing was, there was confusion for awhile because of the name similarities, compounded by the initials used, plus candidly there was some concern about spamming and ghosting.  Obviously that wasn't the case.  Now that we're aware MCSS is not MSSS and you folks represent two separate companies, both forum-approved, its cool.

Its no secret we all search for new stuff web-wide.  Its also no secret we lean toward MSSS because they support the site that Sean provides for us.  That has value so many of us check MSSS every opportunity - even if we might end up buying elsewhere.

For my part, I'm sorry I went public but I'm happy it's all cleared up.

Very cool of you. Thank you. I have bought an item or two from Motorcycle Superstore in the past and have not been disappointed.

That said... you have a Sorpion XDR jacket that I'd like to have. Any good sales coming up? : )

It is absolutely our pleasure! It's great to hear that your past experience with Motorcycle Superstore has been positive! Yes As for any specific sales pertaining to Scorpion's XDR line, we don't currently have anything running. There is a huge clearance on Teknic and Icon. Perhaps you can find something comparable to what you're looking for? If not, I encourage you to use the discount code to save some flow. Big Smile

Keep me posted on what you decide to do!

    Happy Holidays!

Re: Deal of the DAY from Motorcycle Superstore!!

As many of you are aware, I had a pretty bed crash in Sept, 06 that put me in the hospital for several weeks with some pretty severe injuries, but what you may not be aware of is the fact that the Teknic jacket I was wearing saved me a lot of internal injuries.  I wound up with several broken bones, head trauma (suffered a stroke), cracked vertebrae and ribs, a pretty much gimped up leg and some minor road rash among a few other things and a totaled Warrior.  But what I didn't have, much to the amazement of the surgeons and my family was any internal injuries, such as bruised lungs, heart, broken or busted shoulders and elbows.  I attribute a good deal of this to the gear that I was wearing, that being my Teknic jacket, a good pair of gloves and boots.  Sadly they cut the Jacket off of me on the side of the road so I did not get to see how bad it was torn up, but from what I understand it was pretty much trashed.  I tangled with a Ford F-150 and it won.  Here's a link to the accident report on the site and another for the pictures, (no gore).  Not to derail this thread but if you are thinking about a new jacket (Think Teknic) and no I don't work for them but their stuff works, trust me I know first hand.

I hate to keep bringing these up, but it illustrates the value of gear.

As a motorcyclist only two bad things can happen to you and one of them will.

    * One day you will walk out to the bike knowing that it is your last ride on a motorcycle..

    * One day you will walk out to the bike not knowing that it is your last ride on a motorcycle..
My wife calls me "Ol' 2-stroke," but I've never owned a 2-stroke bike in my life, I can't figure out where she gets that from. Hmmmm?

Re: Deal of the DAY from Motorcycle Superstore!!

Scary stuff. I appreciate the story, and support for wearing high-quality gear. I know a lot of people go without jackets, helmets, boots, gloves because it's cool. I do not.

I've been looking at Scorpion jackets because they make 'tall' sizes, when hardly anyone else does. I am 6'3" and 185 lbs, so fairly tall and slim. I've worn regular XL jackets in the past, just to try to get enough length in the sleeves and torso, but then I have way too much extra material in the mid-section. I know a good riding jacket is supposed to fit nicely, for the sake of staying where it's supposed to in the unfortunate event that a person ends up sliding down a section of asphalt. It also balloons up at high speeds, which I don't like. Been looking at the Scorpion XDR Commander jacket in a size LT. About $365 -- waiting for a good discount.
