And so I am planning a trip to South East Minnnesota around the second week of July and will probably be there for about two weeks. I will have my warrior with me and am curious to know if you guys have anything planned, or will plan. Yea I know its a couple of months away but I am poking around at the fellowship of the Minnesota and Wisconsin crews.  If causes and conditions flow well, perhaps I can hook up with you guys.

    see here http://www.motorcycleroads.us/index.html

There are many members around here ( Mpls area)  that may enjoy a ride that way.

That's a great area to ride. Up and down the river is nice on either side. Let us know what days work for you.

My brother and I were thinking of having the next Monster Garage on July 12th, the ride up from Winona would be a healthy one, but we would make it worth your while!

Remember that government spends money only by taking that money out of the private economy. Put another way, when government taxes a dollar to “create” a job, it has taken a dollar out of the private economy that is no longer available to the private economy.

I'd love to meet up but I think I am going to be in the Bahama's the first 2 weeks in July. If the schedule changes, I'd like to ride up.

    ROTRHED:

    What's the new job, Mike???

    ABM Equipment & Supply

    Highway Manufacturing

Located in Hopkins, they manufacture aerial lift cranes, foundation diggers & alot of other stuff that I don't know about yet.

I am working as a mechanic, assembling & repairing the stuff they make.

I no sooner accepted the job when my phone rang for another interview,

A High End Automotive shop that also is involved in race cars called me in for an interview & offered me a job  for 35k more than the one I just accepted but has less benefits.

& I have another interview set up for this Monday @ a place that sells machine shop equipment, They need someone for a field tech position.

So I will have another decision to make this next week. I think I will follow the $$$ & purchase  my benefits.

I have been hearing commercials about the Victory promotion, so I assume I didn't get that job.

That's great news, Mike.  Boy... when it rains it pours.  But it sure is nice to have options!

Best of luck on whichever route you take.  Can't wait til the dust settles to hear what you end up doing.

I have a Windvest windshield for sale.  Fits 1 1/4" bars.

Drop a PM or email.  I would love to sell it to a local.

$350 shipped.  Cheaper if I can drop it off, and maybe drink your beer.......

Re: MN, WI riders. Greatest forum of 2008!

    Pity party time...

We're probably going to have our bikes for sale soon, just due to not having time to ride and probably not going to have time the next few years. We haven't officially made the decision to sell, but we've agreed to have that conversation, and I think we should sell and she hasn't ridden in three years, so I think I know how that will turn out.

So, if y'all know anybody in the market for an '02 Indigo (black and chrome potato cannons included!) and/or an '02 black V-Star 1100, let me know.

Whatever happens, I'll be around to check in on you guys from time to time, so no need to get all mushy.

EDIT: I should add that all the miles (I'll have to check, maybe 12-14k) on the Warrior are grandma-ridden miles. John, Mark, Ric, Kathy, Don, Mike, Steve and others can attest to this.

hi everyone Im new to the board and am wondering if anyone knows of a good passenger peg extension. I tried searches but didnt have much luck.

My girlfriend either wants peg extensions or her own bike so if anyone has anything for sale less than $3000.

I also do some custom airbrushing in my free time, I formerly worked for a reputable motorcycle/paint shop.

Here is some pictures of my tins I painted a few weeks ago.

Welcome to the group and very nice paint. I may try to ride up to Alex this summer. We do the Arrowwood Resort a couple times a year.

Yamaha makes passenger peg extensions. I don't think they are drastically different. Depending on your pipe, you could fabricate your own extentions. Wouldn't be that difficult and you already know how to paint them! ha ha

    Good luck on the search.

    Happy Memorial Day everyone...kind of

How did everyone make out with the storms Sunday afternoon? Hope that no one was seriously hurt and not in Hugo for sure.

I have lived in MN almost 15 years and have never seen hail as big as we had at our house. No lie, we had softball size hail. I had my roof and siding replaced in 06 from wind/hail damage. Looks like I might get a new roof and siding again. I bet we have 100+ holes and chunks out of the siding.

Anyway, at least we are all safe. Prayers go out to those poor souls in Hugo.
