Default Re: Midnight 240 wide tire

I have the 260 kit by Eric (G&S Cycles)...if you are going for a kit I would suggest spending a little more and getting the 260 kit...( I actually now wish I went with a 280..but then there are more pieces that need to be modified) If you would like to stay with a 240...I would suggest you send the wheel to Kosman to get modified and look up DIY 240, Just dremel out some of the areas for clearance and your good to go...

Just my opinion though...

So Canelo does your guy make a kit for the wide tires?
Does he modify the swingarms?
Does he modify the rims to accept the wide tire?

Exactly. I have been looking at his work and when I am ready (read, when I have the money), he will be the man that does the work for me. His attitude and pictures of his work speak volumes.

Where are you rubbing? When I installed my 260 kit I was rubbing on the inside of the fender, I had to make a custom shim to move the tire over and had to space out one of my fender stays and stretch the rear fender slightly. It's a common issue for the rear tire to not fit perfectly centered in the fender. They're used to be a member that sold custom fender stay spacers and offered a service to widen the stock fender but he was banned due to some unfortunate circumstances.
