Default Spot putty and more primer

Took out some scratches with the 3M spot putty/glaze that the bondo filer put in the other day when I was taking off some bondo filler. I should have bought a much much smaller cheese grater (filer)...the one I bought is for automotive panels. Respirator mask and ventilation is a must on this product.

The spot putty did a great job. I should have applied a thinner coat. Sanded my tail off today to get it down by hand. Went past the primer, but that is ok since I needed to apply primer again anyway. It turned out great after sanding the spot putty area with 320 grit dry sanding. Wetsanded the entire tank with 600 grit then washed it down, applied the wax grease remover, wiped it dry and then used a tack cloth to get any fine debris off before I hung it up for primer. Very happy with the results. No dent - not scratches...ready for base coats tomorrow.

Where did you get the spikes for your fork bolts?

Also, how can I install these if my blinkers come from my headlight?

Yamaha RoadStar Warrior Chrome Fork Top Spikes Spike XV1700 Road Star | eBay

All the wiring for the blinkers come from inside the headlight bucket. After you remove the stock signals, you just run the wiring out from inside the bucket to the wrap signals. The instructions they came with were really simple to follow. Also if you do a search, several members have done write ups on these along with photos during installation.
