Just replaced mine this last summer for the 1st time. 14 years and 16,000 miles and 1 to many hole shots with a avon 240 tire. :-)
Life doesn't owe you your own personal happy ending especially at another's expense.

To replace the belt on the road, there is only one problem: how to raise the frame of the motorcycle to remove and mount the swingarm. The rest is trivia.
