Default Raider Pegs = Amazing

Hey guys,

I know I do not have as much to contribute as some of you all. with your crazy phat rears, and headlight modes etc. but I thought I'd contribute where I could.

So just so you guys know, the whole point of my warrior is to make it look and feel like it think it should have come from the factory. So its all about small changes here and there.

One of these changes is the Yamaha Raider stock pegs. I know I am not the first one to do this, and I did not think it would make a difference in feel, i initially did it for looks.

I always felt the the warrior was a sexy beast, and some of the peices on it where just Yamaha cutting corners. The PEGS where for sure one of them.

They looked like they came off an 80's virago or something. Not fitting of our mighty beast. I went out in search of options. I'm not a floorboard guy, but was hoping I could get something slightly more comfortable, with some better looks.

.... That is Exactly what you get with the raider pegs - Comfort and looks.

First looks: obvious improvement, with the sleek lines, and Yamaha logo built right in to the rubber, its like they were made for our bikes. they are enough to get noticed but not enough to take away from the rest of the bike.

Comfort: This is where I was most surprised. You wouldn't think there would be much difference but here is what i feel makes the difference: 1) angle. the peg itself is angled towards the rider, which means it is very easy to get your foot comfortable in many different positions. 2) surface area... because of the angle of the peg and the way the rubber is built, even though the peg is not large, there is substantially more surface area that is flat for your foot. this takes a lot of the stress from the stock peg off. So all in all, a cheap change which make ride-ability and looks better. Let me know if this was at all helpful or if you have any feedback

You nailed it on the head, with your little blurb.
And I fully agree...

I have them on both of my bikes and would not go back to stock.
Tried small floor boards and custom ones, but the raider pegs are the most comfortable.

They are just a bit hard to get by, here downunder..

Exactly how I described them. They just angled and more coverage makes a huge deal of comfort. It actually helped me when we did a long ride as your feet are planted to help take some weight off your core.

Not sure I am contributing anything other than piling on here, but... I got my hands on some Raider pegs, tossed them on my Warrior, and yes, they ARE awesome!

Not much to add from above, really. Better angle, flatter, larger contact patch, much more comfortable for me.

I did notice a little more vibration makes it to my feet, as the stock pegs had rubber on them designed with a bit of a "bubble" if you will, but honestly, it was minor, and I forgot about it pretty quickly into my first ride with the new pegs.
