Default Re: starting relay

Some members have reported that those are kind of hit or miss. Some work, some don't.

But one more thin if I jump a wire to the starter and hit it on the positive side of the battery the bike will start faster thin it has ever done before like it would if it was new ? Thin let me ask this what all on the bike helps to start it like kick stand has to be down or bike has to be in neutralwhat all makes it start and in what order

my .02 ... I would suggest you fully describe the symptoms of your starting problems so others can chime in.

I also suggest you review the Warrior wiring diagram hosted by this writer or within the Yamaha factory manual.
FYI, the Starter relay (7) is triggered by Negative polarity as are most of the pre-start interlocks required for the start circuit. What this means is that the Start relay (7) has positive power to the coil when KEY ON.

i just noticed that this is in the Classified so i'm going to cease with this discussion ... my apologies
