So is anyone going to post pics of the show for those of us that didn't get to go?

Thanks

The 2008 Donnie Smith Chopper Class Challenge was a great success.
Kennedy HS, Bloomington,MN; St. Francis HS, St. Francis, MN; Eden HS,
Eden, NY; CCCTC, Clearfield, PA; and Howell HS, Howell, MI
participated in the DSCCC. Bernice McNaughton HS, Moncton, New
Brunswick, Canada was unable to attend due to a travel restriction.
DSCCC teams attending the show had the opportunity to meet with Master
Builders Donny Smith, Dave Perewitz and Brian Klock, who have been
instrumental in the growth of the DSCCC. John Kosmoski of House of
Kolor and Kenny Price from Samson Motorcycle Products met with
students to give pointers and share the history of the custom
motorcycle industry.
These imaginative, committed and tenacious students presented builds
that would make any master builder proud. Many of these teams and
schools that would like to participate are literally dumpster diving
for parts and equipment.
Many fine companies and individuals have given great assistance to the
program and we are so grateful for the support. Iron Works magazine
has been at the forefront of spreading the word about the DSCCC, now
we need your help.
In 2009 our goal is to expand the program to a greater number of
schools, raise funds to help defer the travel costs for schools
traveling to the DSCCC and find sponsors for parts, especially motors
and drive trains. We are also looking for assistance in establishing a
dedicated web site.
These students have very bright futures and because of their
endeavors, so does the industry.
If you know of school that would like to participate or if you would
like to donate or become involved please contact:

Considering that many Road Star riders have supported the high school program and given that two of the schools are from MN, I thought the members of this forum would be interested. It is obvious by your comments that you have no interest other than being rude. I also ride a 2004 Road Star and you are poor examples of the Yamaha community.

Scottie,

The information you supplied was interesting. Had it been presented in a new thread in regards to the competition and not in the middle of a thread it might not have looked so much like spam. Also the fact that you just signed up on the sight and it was one of your first postings contributed to the fact that it looked like spam. I suggest you might think twice before trashing people. It doesn't reflect well on Donnie Smith or the high school competition. Have a great day.
