Default New Member, New Build

April is here in the great frozen north that is Minnesota. While we brace for one last winter blast from mother nature, riding season is upon us once again. Unfortunately for me, this spring brings about a new build. One that is sure to last me a good year or more as I shop for the parts to assemble my new Warrior.

About a month ago I stumbled into a fantastic deal. Someone was selling a Warrior frame for $150... I couldn't pass it up. I have had my heart set on building a custom chopper for years but could never find the cash to put one together. Today that frame is sitting in my garage awaiting the engine/trans. that is slowly making its way here.

I am looking forward to this build. It will be the first one in many years.

I'd be happy to post pics of the build as it creeps along. I received a call today from the place I bought my engine. They received my payment and the engine is on its way.

Be careful who you buy your engine from. I bought an 06 motor from a company and when it was delivered i had to drive a good ways to go to where they were going to send it and found out that it was an 02 motor and had to go to the trouble of taking it back and paying shipping for them to take it back. I would get an 06 or above to get the better pulley nut improvement they did. I bought mine for my build from a forum member and got just what he said i would.

Thanks for the "heads-up" on the pulley nut. I bought a '07 engine/trans from a parts dealer in Washington.

Hmm... I tried to upload the pic I saved from the listing but I must be doing something wrong.
