Default Hi from Sherbrooke, QC, Canada

Hello to all! I just got myself a stage 4 ‘02 Warrior built by one of my friends for drag racing 6-7 years ago.

I’ve had sports bike most of my 20s, but I’ve sold all of them 4 years back when we had our first kid. I’m now 34 and have been looking for a powerful bike that I can’t do wheelies with, so the Warrior quickly became one of the contenders at the top of my list.

Bike has loooots of mods (transfer case removed, flipped swingarm with chain drive on the right side, stage 4 kit, longer wheelbase, and lots more.) and was put back on the road 3 years ago after having an engine refresh. It needs some love as the last owner has been a bit careless with the bike. Engine is in good shape, but pretty much everything around it needs some work. Perfect as a winter project.

I’m currently looking for an exhaust to replace the stock one that’s on the bike (bike was running straight pipe on the strip), and a PCV (or PC3 usb, not sure yet) so I can have it dynoed and tuned.

I’ll also be looking for some advice from those of you who will be willing to help ! I’ve done a lot of work on my bikes in the past (owned a ‘05 GS500, 01 FZ1, ‘02 ZX12 and ‘03 drag-only gsxr1000), but never owned a roadster or anything close to it.

I’ve already found many useful information before registering, so thanks for that !

freaken;

Welcome aboard from just south of you! (Plattsburgh, NY USA). The guys on this forum make this the place to be, for all questions, issues and advice that pertain to the RSW.
This place is a wealth of knowledge and you can also find lots of goodies for sale on here to. Good luck with the refurbishing project on your Warrior. These bikes are pretty much bullet proof/reliable if you live up to your end with the minimal maintenance requirements and keeping them clean. EBAY is also a good source for parts as well as partzilla.com Hope this helps you out and once again welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard, its exciting to see this drag bike pop-up, anxious to see pics from all angles and under the seat and tank. Is the bike injected or carbureted? If you wander around these forums and participate by writing ten total posts then you become able to post pictures and do other things. Cool.

I’ll post some pics as soon as I have the chance. As for the carb / FI, I might be wrong, but I thought all Warriors were FI. Is carburetor conversion a common mod ?
