Just an update: The registration went smooth without any issues or questions. Inspector just took all numbers that exist on the bike/parts.

That's great to hear.

I tracked one down in Vegas, and they called me back saying they couldn't sell it to me/ CA.

Only reason they couldn't is if it has less than 7500 miles on the odometer or has aftermarket parts/tuning that are not CARB legal.

You can still purchase the bike out of CA with less than 7500miles on it only if itís been made for CA

Correct, I was referring to out of state bikes not specifically built for CA emission standards.
