Default Rear shock failing

Did a 100 mile ride and I have noticed that the rear shocks getting very bouncy with no damping also the rear feels a bit Id like to say has a loose feeling to it when you steer left to wright you feel a little steer on the rear
The tires not that old with plenty of tread Pirelli night dragon so Im thinking I need to overhaul the rear end
Is there any shocks aftermarket that any one can recommend/has used
Cheers Ben.

What year is your bike? The 03' and newer had dampening and rebound adjustments.

If you want to upgrade the whole thing you could look at Progressive shocks.
