If I was single and no kids, I'd do that! Cool. I loved driving cross country home from college on holidays. Open road, freedom, new adventures...sorry...gotta go, kids crying, wife's yelling.

Cool story, very enjoyable to read. Reminded me of my trip from Seattle WA. to Cleveland OH. I had a nail in the rear tire. Wasn't loosing presure, so I just left it alone. I don't think that I would do that again!

Cool article - gotta admire folks with that sense of adventure.
**** yeah, that trip on a bike that's new and mechanically sound would be an adventure on its own. just adds that much more to the experience to do it the way he did it.

Yeah, it's one thing to have clunker break down but blowing out a tire taking a corner... 3000 miles with anail--I just don't want to think about the potential consequence.
