240 kit - Cycle Image or Performance Edge?

I want to get the 240 kit for my 2004 Warrior.
I want to do chrome wheels front and back, the 240 swingarm,
polished rotors and cover, rear caliper relocated
behind swingarm, lowering kit.
Does anyone have suggestions on which way to go?
Cycle Image or Performance Edge or is there someone
else out there that does this that I am not aware of?
Is one better in quality and workmanship than the other?
And also price?
I Appreciate any input pros and cons on this.

Thanks
Steve

rider510,

I have a modified swingarm for a 240 from Cycle Image with chrome RC Component Wheels. Haven't had any problems...

I guess it's up to you who you go with...Cycle Image or Performamce Edge...I don't have any complaints about Cycle Image and I heard that the guys at Performance Edge were good too. If it's a money thing then by all means shop around...

You might want to check out G&S Cycles, as well...

Good Luck!

Hi Rider510 (Steve), Matt here from Performance EDGE. We do have a gently used chrome 18 x 8.5 rear rim, 3 spoke, on the shelf, that we could include with a wide tire kit for you with some attractive pricing. Let me know how I can help! Call us at the shop today!

There are basically 4 vendors doing most of the wide tire kits on here:
1)G&S Cycles Inc.
2)Performance Egde
3)Crown
4)Cycle Image.

I had G&S Cycles do my original 240 kit almost 5 years ago. Used them again for my 260 swingarm about 2 years ago. Never had a problem, top of the line craftmanship and service. Do a search on Wide-tire kits on this forum and be prepared for Hours of reading. Good luck on your choice.

I got my Chrome 240 setup with the swingarm, pulley, hub, and rear brake rotor cover from Cycle Images. My customer service from Reza was great! He must have sent me back around 10-15 emails with answers to my questions. I have not done business with Performance Edge but I hear their customer service is equally good. My rims looks much better in chrome![/emoticons/emotion-4.gif] Check it out!

On the chrome 240 kits, we offer the most value for the money. You get way more chrome parts, including a chromed swingarm and lots of other pieces for a lower price.

For $2375 you get,

1) Chrome modified arm
2) Chrome Modified Wheel
3) Chrome Front wheel
4) Chrome Pulley
5) Chrome hub
6) Chrome rear rotor cover

And when you get a Big wheel kit from us, you will get other parts like rear brake caliper+Arm, Front rotors and swingarm end caps at greatly discounted prices...

Email me directly if you are interested.

If I were you, I would really consider the 240. It is plenty wide and requires less modification to your swingarm. Also note, there are two types of 260 swingarms that are avaiable. One of them has the hump on the right side arm to clear the tire and some do not but require major reconstruction and reinforcement from what I recall. There has been prior topics on like and dislikes of both versions. There maybe a cost difference for either or too so keep this in mind.
