Ok... im a newbee at this so i need help. This is my first NEW bike and i've never had to break one in before. I want to do it myself and become self sufficient so what do i need to do? I have already replaced the oil and tranny oil. I was told to just look for loose screws and stuff, is there more then that? Oh ya i have about 1k on the bike now (a 330 mile ride after the oil and tranny change put me past the break in stage....YES!!! [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

The oil & gearbox are the biggies, but there are a few other items to look at as well. This list is by no means all inclusive...

Check the drive belt tension.
Check that your drive belt is aligned properly.
Check your brake fluid levels.
Check all cable tensions.
Check as many electrical connections as you can.
Check your plugs for signs of rich or lean burning.

And the most important thing of all,,,,,

Check your wallet for the savings you just provided yourself!

Cheers!
