I have the Baron's BAK, and I hear that the velocity stacks on the VBAK add a great deal more pull from 2K and up. So, I'm wondering if longer velocity stacks would accomplish this as well or hinder it for some reason? I really want to have exposed cone filters on both sides of the bike, either where the right and left side covers are now, or even a little more forward.
So, my real question is: Would longer velocity stacks (of sorts) create any problems or add to performance?
So, if I kept a rain sock on the filters, it would work without issues? I don't really understand the whole velocity stack idea, other than it seems that it would funeel air directly into the throttle bodies, almost like a vacuum of sorts. Is that correct?
