I just got Ivans flash! I'm excited, and its on its way back .

Ivan explained that I should get an AIS kit as I have a slip on exhaust.

I'm not really mechanically inclined, so taking the tank off and all that jazz seems a little daunting.

My question is - where should I purchase from?
and... if I have the tank off. Should I put the cone filter intakes everyone does? I had not intended to, but...

Also where would you guys be purchasing these?

Thanks in advance for any help. I have been searching a little and not really finding what i'm looking for. I'm still getting used to the new forum layout etc.

Happy new year!

Happy New Year to you too. Now there are guys here that can give you answers ( in less words that I would take ) however, if you take baby steps and follow the directions given you will be alright馃槑馃槑馃悵

Churchkey is the name of a member and he makes the VBAK which replaces the airbox with filters and hw also sells AIS blocking plates. Send him a PM.
Very easy install.

Here is a simple video on how to remove the gas tank. It is fairly simple and a video will help you visualize.

AIS Removal video

Also if you go to youtube and put Warrior 1700 BAK there are several videos on the different air kits out there. It is a fairly simple job and no more than a 2 beer job.

Barons used to make a kit. Maybe can still find it for sale online.
Check the DIY section of the forum for a DIY BAK.

Or
that is great, but for those of us without the confidence, or a machine shop etc. its nice to know someone else has done all the leg work for us. I don't mind the 30 dollars for that. its the extra 60 for shipping that;s killing me.
