It is still in the shop, all parts got ordered today except the bore kit.I know about the deal at pr. That is why I cant decide to go with the big ones since he is tring to rape on lobor.

Well, he is nailing you for 6 hours now... and he said another 2-3 for BB kit?! Oh he is nuts! No way!!! The entire engine gets ripped down to get to the trans. So they are already doing the labor (which Yamaha is paying them to do). I would call another dealer and see if they will do your recall and the parts and see what they say for a price on labor (today). From the way it sounds you are ordering your parts from the dealer. If you are tell the other dealer that what you want to order and see... tell them you are not happy with your dealer and looking for a new one for your business.

You misunderstood the 2 or 3 hrs from steve at oe. He meant for all of it including the extras.

Ok, my bad... I reread the posts. Dealer charging 6hrs and OE says 2-3hrs. Call a different dealer today and see what they say (if there is another local). 6 hours is too much!

The parts are comming from oe, which steve at oe told me to have them call him to get set up with them for parts. I priced every thing at oe first.Got all the discounts too.Part of the labor is supposed to be for the initial tear down and cleanup to store the bike for 3 wks while waiting for the cams.Then another hr to get it back out after parts arrive for assembly.Bullcrap!!!!They are just tring to take advantage of me dont you think.

I think I will call another dealer today before I call the dealer back just to see what they say. Thing is, the dealer has my tranny parts and my bike has been there for three wks now.RECALL SUCKS!!!!

I agree with you 100%! Charging you 1 hour labor ($6/emoticons/emotion-11.gif to pull the bike out... bs! Ok they are charging you $150-$200 (roughly) to hold your bike for 3 weeks. Someone is on crack!

I stopped to see about the tranny kit. Told me to bring it in asap so I did.They didnt even have the parts. 3wks now and they just arrived.Still another 3 wks wait for oe to do my cams and send goodies.

wow, you are making me really like my dealer. They will come and get my bike (if I want) when my kit is there (next in line). Call another dealer... if that doesnt work, see if you can take the bike home until the parts are in (save the storage charge). Let me know how it goes today! Good luck!

You'd think the dealer would throw the AIS in with the other mods. Of course, it is the dealer!!
