Hello all,

This is my first post after much research and trolling this website for a couple of months.

I bought a used Imperial Red '02 a couple of weeks ago. The thing was in perfect condition, garage kept, and only had about 6500 miles on it.

It's had some work done: it's been lowered (not sure by how much, maybe someone could tell by looking at the pics in my gallery), Samson slash pipes, PCIII ... not sure what else has been done just yet.

I'm loving this thing more and more everyday.

My "To Do Mod-List" is getting longer and longer everyday it seems. To say that these bikes are addictive is an understatement.

Also, just wanted to say that this website is one of the best out there... extremely informative and a seemingly great group of people here.

Take care, and stay safe.

Welcome, don't be afraid to ask these guys for advice.

This place is a $$$WEALTH$$$ of knowlege when it comes to the RSW.

I appreciate this forum and the guys on it more and more every day.

After about 6 months of "trolling" I have begun to make contact with some RSW riders in my area. As soon as the weather gets back into shape I hope to ride with them, and see other RSWs.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

DNGrumpy - when I measure from the end of the belt guard straight up to the rear fender, it reads 3 7/8"... so, I assume my bike has been lowered about two inches. Now I just need to find out what kit was used, maybe JPWarrior can help me out here. He's right up the road from me in Daytona... I live in the Cocoa Beach area.

Gunny & The Bear - yes, I must agree, totally "non-biased" of course, that RED is indeed the fastest color. [8D]

Unforgiven - yes, the recall was done and the seller gave me the receipt from the local Yamaha shop as proof. I wonder if I should call Yamaha just to make absolutely sure.

Take care.

Here's my new baby.

Congrats on your new purchase. I also bought an '02 warrior this month for about $7500 with 5300 miles, plenty of mods already and a one year left on the extended warranty. It's my first motorcycle but with much research off this site I said screw it and I love it! I'm never going back and already got the Harley guys in my town drooling!
