I would recommend Big City Thunder baffles. I have used them on my last 2 bikes and they have been great.

The Sampson's do not come with baffles stock. You need to add them if you want them. You will also have to drill a hole in the back side for the baffle set screw.

Just go to the Big City Thunder's website, Big City Thunder - Are You Baffled? and it will walk you through exactly what you need and show you how to measure for the correct baffles. Their phone support is very useful as well.

The baffle I got for my Sampson Ripsaws were the 1 5/8" inside diameter baffles. I have the original Sampson's though so your's may be different.

Thanks Kent. The lady at Big City Thunder was extremely helpful. Apparently these pipes can come in three different versions which she explained in detail. Looks like I do actually have the 1 5/8" size as opposed to the 2 1/2" that I thought I had.

Go with the BTM. The Samsons are not made for that pipe. Samson recommends that you cut their baffle in half.

You will feel the return of the torque compared to the pipes without the baffles.

 

I went with the original Thunder Monsters in my Samson short slashers. Got them, gave a call, they told me how deep in & which direction to face the gunsight end. Drilled a couple holes & in with a little red Locktite. Sounds great.

 

I ended up going with the Quiet Thunder Monster baffles as I really wanted to damper the sound of the exhaust ( it was very loud). I am installing them on Friday so I will update everyone with how they sound.

 

With the original Thunder Monsters these pipes are still LOUD, got rid of that raw "jake brake" sound on decel. I wanted to stay loud but still able to get out of the neighborhood at 5:30 - 6:00am. So far, so good.
