you don't want to put a regular charger on it, you could blow it up with to much amps. What you want is a battery tender, that monitors and only adds a charge when necessary. And that can be hooked up to the bike.
I see you live in Montreal so probably have a long time to wait for riding weather to return. I would attach the 'pigtail' for the battery charger and keep your battery Tender attached all the time. Use the same pigtail for any electric clothing or GPS devices.
