Just got the bike back from the deal after getting a new rear tire. Now my belt seems to be binding on the rear

pulley. Logic would dictate that the wheel/pulley is misaligned and should be a simple fix. HOWEVER, the binding

is not constant. Sometimes as I pull up to a stop it's fine. Other times it makes a horrible scratch, scratch, scratch sound

and /or a clicking sound. Seems to be worse just after a left hand turn.

Any suggestions before I take it back to the dealer?

The dealer always tightens the belt way to tight. You might just check your tension on the belt.

You could be slightly misaligned, but I'd have to agree that the belt is probably too tight.

How many miles do you have on your bike? I'm wondering if a belt that was to tight could cause a bearring failure.I also hope that your dealer does a better job of installing your bearrings than mine did. After a few dealings with my dealer,I know do all of my work. They butchered mine.

The culprit.........shot bearing.
All i can add to this one is, " I'm happy to see you have confidence in your Dealer"

the noise didn't exist until you had the rear tire changed
