well. my plug chop was inclusive. i warmed the bike up, held it at 2,700rpm for 5 min, killed the engine & coasted to a stop. when i pulled the plug, the tip was tan & the ring was a little dark but no deposits. same for low end, 2,000rpm, no change. i need to start with clean or new plugs & ride for alot longer than i did. like up the hwy for an hour. anyway the bike has plenty of guts

i think i lost a little low rpm torque but i might have a good old fashoned fix. i welded a 5/16" washer to a 1/4 x 20 bolt. 1 for each pipe. im going to start the bolt into the baffle, install the baffle then screw the bolt through the pipe untill the washer is centered in the baffle & lock it down with a nut. this should restore just enough low end back pressure. this has been discussed on other web sites & has been practiced for years. if it doesnt work ill simply remove it & go back to the drawing board.

I love my V&H bigshots cause i like'em loud, even with the baffles in.But with them out god help us a traffic ticket is soon to come.My butt dyno said more power"lots more"low end torgue, if i lost some don't tell my back tire it still screams murder, and has an cronic smoking habit. gas mpg is down a drop or two.
