OK Kids, i just talked to my mechanic and he said:

* I can bring him a box o' parts (Big Bore Kit) and he will install it for no extra charge except for the cylinder sleeves. That is $100/cylinder to replace. Everything else will be paid for except for the new fuel map.

* Also, he talked to a Yamaha rep this week, and he said that the Warrior recall was not yet 'official', and the '99-2000 Roadstars were not effected (for what it's worth).

*Also, get in line for your service because every schwingin' dick will be wanting the same thing at the same time.

Consider re-boring and re-plating your cylinders, for the long term you'll be better off. Plus that's how Yamaha sends builds them. The Nicka-sil coating offers more lubricity than the sleeves, plus will never give you a problem. The process runs $450 for both, we've done 100's of Yamaha V-twins and have NEVER had a problem.
