Ok, I'm not notorious for being short on words, but I'll try. Why are forward controls for the warrior so **** expensive? My cousin just put forward controls on his wife's sportster for $175 and that was from the HD dealer. I can't seem to find anything worth buying for under $500 and have seen them go easily over a grand.

The actual forward control kits from HD that I saw for a Sporster start at $350 and go up so I'm guessing what he got was just a set of pegs maybe or the forward footrest brace thing they offer? Part of the reason they're not more expensive though would be because they don't have a master cylinder with them like ours would. That and they're super simple in design.

The billet full forward controls for the Warrior also fit two other bikes, can't remember which but its easy to discover if you want to know. My point is, the HD parts fit a range of HD's and other knock-offs, so they can be built in longer production runs and thatreduces costs.

I don't want my bike to look like everyone elses. There's a couple things that are a lot more expensive for the Warrior, forward controls is one of them. Scary expensive, but unless a vendor can build a few hundred in a run, what else can be done?

I keep saving but they haven't risen to the top of the list yet.

The $175 controls... do they come with a break reservoir? I'm pretty sure they don't. Any decent forward controls will cost at least $500, HD or not. If you think $500 is a lot, wait until you want to add a phat rear wheel on your bike...

Cheers,

Yeah bein the Ebay ***** that I am, I've found several options that lower the cost of doing the wide tire kit, but truth be told, until I find someone local who has one that will let me spin it, I'm gonna stick to my 210 Metzler. I like leaning through the curves too much and I've heard that you lose a lot of ride value with a fatter tire.

After rechecking, there is no reservoir on her controls, but they do look good for a sportster. Arizona was mentioning several other bikes that the controls would be synonymous with, anybody have any ideas which? I've been tempted a few times to just get controls for a Harley and fab my own plate that lines them up with the bolt holes on my Warrior.
