When you chime in Bismark, what about the yellowing that occurs after a while(not on your stuff) but parts I got elsewhere.

 

Grumpy, my Bubs yellowed from heat but I got it out with Fleetz (spelling?).

Blistering occurs if you have poor copper plating underneath or no copper plating at all. Cynaide copper helps prevent blistering. Nicket shadow results from Anodes not being in the right place and not enought current flowing throught the parts to be plated or not enough tank time for the last stage. Also trivalent chrome leaves more Nickel shadow than hexavalent.

 

Its "FLITZ" Metal polish and fiberglass cleaner/plus corrosion protection/Made in Germany where they like there toys to Shine Brite Himey.

 

Just want to add my chrome experience,I have both yamaha and bismarks (cycle image) chrome on my bike for the last 7 months. The yamaha products started to show wear and blistering with in 2-3 months (pissed me off to no end), bismarks still looks like new, like the day i received it.

 

Thanks Doc I had spelling wrong. You just take some Flitz on a paper towel and rub on exhaust pipe (or any metal) till yellow/blue comes out. Seems to work best if pipe is warm. I have had good luck with this product. Years ago I used a product called BlueAway that did same thing.

 

Yamaha's chrome sucks!!!

I stil have a little left in the tube,dont need mutch but it works on everything, even paint, next time Im gona get the big can,its great stuf.

 

My Yamaha chrome is a year old now and still looks brand new. I don't know why, but it's been holding up very well.

 

Another good chrome polishing product is called Simichrome made by Happich(yes another German company). I also have used Flitz and it is comparible.

 

My HK Kickers look great, it's my Spin off gas cap that is getting yellow.

 

Can I use bluemagic metal polish cream on the exaust and all the hot parts?
