Okay guys I have a problem and I can't seem to fix it. One day when I turned the bike off by the kill switch a clicking noise started coming from the starter cylinoid. Brought it to the shop they changed it and it still continues. The shop said they called yamaha and they said if you change the stock blinker system this may happen. I don't think so because everyone on here would be having this problem. It only happens when I kill the bike by the switch and then turn the key off. If I kill the bike with the key only it's fine. Please help.

they are right - u need to put a load equilizer or a bulb to replace the load.
or just make sure the bike is in neutral and turn off via the key.

Yes everyone has had this problem. It has been discussed 5000 times. If you turn off the bike in Neutral it alleviates the problem. You can hide eqaulizers or wire an extra set of "regular" blinkers inside the headlight to actually fix the problem. Great that you got the dealership to fix something thats not broken though.
Hey, just a question that doesn't seem to be posed yet. Is it the same thing with the license plate light or just the front turn signals? Just wondering.
Allright, this is probably a stupid question but here goes. I'm looking to change the turn sigs on my bike. I don't have any burning desire to go with LEDs (thus not having all this trouble) but I noticed that there are two wire lights and three wire lights available. I'm guessing I need the two wire lights for the back (blinkers only no running lights) and the three wire lights for the front (w/running lights). Am I on the right track here?
PS: I'm looking for the source for the front turn sig brackets that were given away last month. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

jr you are correct - 2 wire blinker only 3 wire blinker/running light

I found out the hard way when it killed my battery. Now every time I shut down it is in neutral AND I have reset the turnsignal switch. My sigs are in the mirrors and after they stop blinking it takes about 5 seconds before the running lights come on - if I use the blinker then shut off right away it tries to find the running lights and keeps searching after I shut down. I've also noticed that when I hear the clicking if I turn the key back on and then off right away it stops.
