I'm going to talk to my friend that is a beer man and see if he can donate some beverages to the cause. He works for Champion Brands so I won't be able to get any A-B products but can get stuff like Miller, Coors, and some imports.

Glad to hear you will be making it Shawn, I thought I was gonna have to look for another roomie. With two extra mouths to feed all of the sudden I am counting pennies. I did just buy some nice new meats for the bike though. She's pretty much ready to go now. I just have to figure out how to carry everything I need up there.

 

OK I just talked to my beer man and he's getting me some Coors Light, Miller Light, Bass, Yuengling, and some Smirinoff Twisters (green apple). Are there any other types anyone wants?

Well, I was on the fence about this one until somebody mentioned beer! I'm in. I'll probably leave Daytona on EARLY Wed. morning and ride straight thru. I think I'm gonna do the rent-a-tent thing at the Iron Horse so I can pack lightly.

 

Just made my reservations. The lady said they have one more room available with a queen size bed for the 15th thru the 19th.

WHere'd you call? Iron Horse? I was told there were NO rooms left two weeks ago when I called... Maybe I'll call tomorrow and check this out.. I was planning to stay at Fontana, but would chnage if another room there was open. Makes more sense to hang out with everyone anyway.. not to miss anything.. Cuz, well, you know, I hear that funny S$%^ tends to happen when a bunch of Warrior clowns gather...

Two trips in one week.. Man, this is gonna be a great trip!!!

 

Yes, funny things happen that's what makes it so much FUN...and with all that beer?! Watch out! I have a feeling that there will be some good stories and even better pictures to come out of this. ROGER, I can hear the DRAGON calling you...

I called the number listed on their website. Maybe it was the specific dates I asked for. 15th - 18th. If you asked them for , say, the 11th - 18th they would have told you they didn't have a vacancy. Or maybe somebody canceled. Anyway, I'm doing the rent-a-tent thing. I'm sure they have plenty of those available if you want to do that. One thing's for sure, when this crowd gets together you never know what's going to happen but you can bet it'll be a good time. If I were you, I'd make sure I stayed at the Iron Horse even if I had to sleep in a tent to do so.

just found out that i will not be going this year either. my wife just told me that she had planned to go out of town that week with her mother. and from what i gather mother-inlaws come first. maybe next time.

How about a day trip to Asheville on Thursday? How long does it take to get from Asheville to DG via scooter anyway? It's about an hour or so drive by car, correct? Thats and EASY 35 minute ride via car...

id love to but i have to many animals to take care of so we both can't be gone at the same time. maybe she will cancel out of guilt.

There's a Harley dealers rally in Maggie Valley the 16th - 18th. It's on the way to/from Asheville from the Iron Horse. Can you say target rich environment?
