I did it!! I've been driving all winter and got pretty good control of the big monster.. but then ofcourse I had to overdo it. Stepped on the footbrake putting it up sideways as many times before but this time for some reason I did a nobrainer and let go a bit of the brake as i felt I was coming up a bit to much sideways.. that resulted in a beautiful highside and a broken arm..
Now I'm on sickleave from work and as the bike's at the shop I'm on the Canarie Islands for two weeks. Have to take the good with the bad.. life goes on.
Just felt I had to tell you, I recon not very many did a highside with a warrior /emoticons/emotion-1.gif
Now I'm going to enjoy another piña colada and some spanish señoritas!!

Cya!!

OldMan - Thanks for the tip about staying on the brake.

I did take the first safety course a few years ago and they did say if the rear wheel locks up to just keep on the brake. They never said anything about highsiding if you let off. They said it would be too much to think about and too much to do in a panic situation to try to regulate the rear brake while you're trying to stop.

I do remember either the class or a book talking about highsiding a bike by cutting the throttle if the rear starts to slide under power. That tip helped me once when the back tire started spinning on a wet road and fished-tailed as far as it would go a few times.
