The site will be coming down this afternoon at roughly 5pm EST for approx. 15 minutes.

In case you are wondering, the amount of RAM in the server will be quadrupled after this upgrade.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly. [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

Just a question because I'm a complete computer dummy. So how much ram does a server like this take to run?

Let's see I get off work at 5:00 and get home about 5:10, guess I'll have to drive slow on the way home today.[/emoticons/emotion-4.gif]

Bo, you're an ADDICT, you need to go 'cold turkey' [/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]

After tonight it will have 2GB as long as everything goes smoothly.

Make sure to blow out the dust as long as the case is off...

I already have my canned air in the car [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

Just as an FYI...
The machine currently has 512MB RAM, 2x40GB drives running RAID-1 and a 2Ghz processor. It is running DNS, mail, web services and the database is hosted on a different dedicated machine.

The machine is a couple years old now, so 2GB RAM isn't that much, but it is all the motherboard can handle. If the server continues to max out resources it will be time for a new machine.
