These seldom come up for sale. Best to buy new dc2-1 are the coils you need. Vulcan makes nice coil mounts. There are some good write ups on how to mount them.

Thanks Tom, I took a second look and can get a new set of two for $164. I thought they were $164 each.

DynaTek offers their own 8mm wires, are there any other brands preferred by those in the know?

I got them and didn't really notice a change. I'm not indicating that I'm going to sell them - lol - but I thought I would have felt it a little.

When going to DC2-1 coils, the system response is the thing. Plus warm idle is about as rock solid as a v2 can be. It revs more quickly off-idle. There isn't much overall power added, but it hustles to speed sooner. The bike also sounds better imo. And I don't miss having to every year verify the stock spark plug Boots are twisted all the way tight enough. Plus no longer need to hope the fixed-into-coil stock leads are still making good contact inside where it cannot be seen.
