I live in MN and I don't ever remember the gas not having 10% ethonol. I'm 27 years old, so I've only been driving for 11 years, so that tells you how far I go back. Anyways I've ran it in everything from cars and motorcycles, to lawnmowers and chainsaws. No problems at all. A lot of times the premium grade of fuel doesn't contain any ethonol. Most of the time when you see an engine have trouble with ethonol it's in a small gas engine, such as a weed wacker or a chainsaw. That would be the only reason I would purchase premium fuel for an engine that doesn't otherwise require it. So anyways 10% ethonol is nothing to worry about. 20% however would concern me. They're talking about bumping it up around here.
Basically the consensous is the 10% stuff is fine and has been around a pretty good while and nobody's noticed hardly. The E85 stuff is when people start noticing it seems especially in lawn movers and such.
