So the question is answered ahead of time...yes, you will chuck the old 1" spacer. Take the bolts out first, because you'll need those...but you're done with that spacer.

Remembering that a guy with a 33" inseam never had much problem with the 1" spacer, this is designed more for a smaller inseam, but will still be just fine for the long-leggers too. The spacer is moving 3/4" up (or towards the rider) and out 3" to the back of the plate to ease up the strain of wrapping your legs around the boxes. This should eliminate the possibility of you looking like you belong to the PBR tour.

Hope this clears things up.

I just ordered the spacers + bolts (just to be safe), from Bill. I should have them installed next week along with the Elite Phat controls and let you know guys how they feel. From the look of it, they should improve greatly the ride comfort.

Teck & Marco,

Thanks for your orders. I believe you will see these to be a big help with reach and comfort. The 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 " move on the forwards seems to be a bit too much in my perspective. I'm 6' with a 30-31" inseam and I can see very clearly where the issues are with wrapping your legs around the air boxes on a bike with aftermarket forwards on.

Please let me know how it all comes out for you. As I'd stated the prototypes that went out about a month ago got tremendous review from a previously "concerned" customer, who just bought the controls direct from me and found he couldn't hit the pegs correctly.

I'd heard one too many issues with this, including Marco's back and forth with enormous toe peg spacers, and decided it should be fixed once and for all.

This should, at the least, eliminate the "wrapping" but will also give you a bit more bend with it coming back the 3/4".

I received the black spacers + extra control bolts yesterday... and I'm really impressed.

First, each spacer is very meticulously packaged in air sealed plastic, both sitting on a thick sheet of cardboard so they don't get damaged... beside the usual foam you get in the box. All bolts (spacers and extra controls) are chromed. The quality of those spacers is way higher then any other billet I got my hands on... for 2 simple pieces of metal. I don't know what is the product Supreme used to make them black... it is definitely not paint or some cheap powder. I'm very happy I got them... for a great price too.

Also, Bill made everything right with my order, from the beginning to the end.
I forgot to mention... I've got the parts in 3 days, to Montreal Canada. Could not be happier, thanks a lot Bill.

Glad you got them so quickly. As far as the black...the aluminum is polished as if it were going to be chromed (or sold as a polished piece), and then we process with a "bright dip" black anodize. It's just a bit different than sulfuric anodize, and brings out the shine a bit more. It also seems to stand the test of time better, and doesn't have the fading problems or "purplish" look that a standard black anodize usually fades to.

Anyway, hope you enjoy them.

It might be a while though because my shop bud just had his grandbaby so I'm thinking to let a dealer do this and some other things I need or wait until Amospro's garage day later this month since I don't have a garage or the needed tools to do much myself.

I got mine yesterday as well. He always gets stuff shipped quickly every time I've ordered anything.

Tic...Toc...Tic...Toc...

I hate waiting for mail.... can't believe Canada got it faster than me... and I'm Domestic....It's like waiting for Xmas...

Sorry man...but you heard me at the post office when you called...LOL. Maybe we spooked the girl or something and she threw some kind of "get there later than Canada" hex on it.

Hopefully it pops in by the end of the week.

Re: Elite forward controls from Phat?--update

Hey Bill, did the adjustment last weekend. Took some finagling with the linkage, but now the brake lever sits right against the footpeg and my toe slides under it slick as snot at highway speed, and I'm getting used to the new foot position when I need the brake. Thanks again for the tip. Loving the controls even more now! I just feel like a doofus for not checking on it sooner!

Re: Elite forward controls from Phat?--update

Ahhh...yes... a little bit of adjustment on the linkage, but hey, if it's working...then problem solved now. Glad to be of assistance. Hopefully your foot does not slip off the "slick as snot" peg now...LOL.

Re: Elite forward controls from Phat?--update

Well Mr. William.... I got my spacers put on today and I must say I'm LOVING the **** out of them. That is just what the doctor ordered for that problem, perfict fit now even with the airbox there and they don't look shabby AT ALL like I was afraid they might after I put them on. The black was a good choice but it will look fine in chrome also I'm sure. I'm very glad to be rid of that **** 2" tube spacer stuck on the toe peg bolt.

Also, you'll be glad to know the rear brake problem is ovah! I can lock it up back there now with that 3/4" bore even. I just need to get back in the habit of actually using it again now I suppose. Many thanks for your help on both these resolutions!

Re: Elite forward controls from Phat?--update

Marco,

Great to hear that everything is back on track. So sorry about the streak of crummy luck you've had these last few months with all the little stuff beyond just the controls. Sounds like you've got another 2-3 months of good riding to catch up on.

Ok.

Where do things stand now. Can I get the Phats Elites and the Supreme's spacer to work with the stock airbox?

Where do I buy the spacer?

I'm not really sure if Bill (Supreme Legends) sells the spacers by themselves...

But you can email Bill at:

Phone: (714) 504-0715
Fax: (714) 441-5908
email: bill@supremelegendsusa.com

I'm sure he will reply back to you quickly with an answer

He does, that's how I got mine. Hehad starteda topic at one point for them that I'm sure you could find with a search. It looks like he still visits here as well (last logged on 2 days ago) so you can PM him also as another option.
