Does anyone know of anything that can be done to the stock exhaust to get extra sound out of it. I has a bone stock bike, and I actually still like the looks of it even with the huge exhuast on it. I would like to give it some time before I start changing everything on it. Although I would really like to get some more sound out of it. Any suggestions???

Thanks for the compliment, but just to reiterate... That mod will make your pipes VERY VERY VERY loud. Maybe experiment with using longer extensions welded onto the factory pipes. I added very short ones, probably should have gone a little longer. When I put in a pair of baffles I got from JC-Whitney, that absolutely KILLED the performance of the bike. Felt like I was riding my old V-Star 650 again for a minute there. VERY VERY VERY loud with no baffles. VERY VERY. [8D]

Dremel tool, plenty of cut-off wheels, 2 1/4" hole saw, grinder, willingness to be brutal. Gutted my water heater and shortened it 7 inches. Works for now until more funds roll in. Sounds pretty good, too.

I found a spare muffler i had left over from my chassis shop days and put it on in place of the stock can, Sounds alot better, less work than gutting a stock can too. I think it costs about 50 bucks from a reg auto parts store, But i cant remember what I had the can for to begin with. /emoticons/emotion-1.gif worked out good though.

That looks really good, but I just have to ask if this will cause any problems to the engine. I know if you buy an exhaust, you have to do a power programer, would you have to do the same on something like this?

Scott, after you get a 1000 miles or so the stock can will be a bit louder and throatier. It'll never sound like a pair of Samson's tho'.
