Ok gang...here it is...a missing bolt off my bike. This little baby fell off sometime during the 45 minutes that my bike was loaded into the back of my pick-up.

The person who gets this right gets a unexpense paid trip to anywhere in the world, and my personal thanks and gratitude.

See if you can.......
NAME THAT BOLT.

Alt cover, behind the footpeg, hard to see when its in there.

Then again it looks jist like the one I tossed in the bed of some pickup so someone would not get a flat. hehehehehe

Sammy does the head still have lines in it or is it smooth? If its smooth it's definately aftermarket. All the bolts for the Yamaha engine accessories kits get replaced with smooth ones. It looks like a engine cover or coil bolt. Have you done the BAK/coil/LCV relocation and possibly lost one from under the tank? I

Bolt still has all the lines in it - it's stock, and is not aftermarket. The only changes for aftermarket were mirrors, levers, exhaust, and pulley cover. I checked them all.

These are some great ideas though...I will be back out there looking shortly - I'm afraid to ride her any great distance...I keep seeing the scene from the movie "Lovebug" when they are driving down the mountain and their tire comes along beside them and passess them.

Sammy I wouldn't be too afraid to ride it. I've had a gas tank fall in my lap off my harley while riding and I still managed to get home! As the old addage goes "if it falls off and still runs than it wasn't needed in the first place". LOL IMHO this bolt is not one that secures anything that critical or it'd have been twice the size. It's definatly not a body bolt, looks more like a cam cover bolt or alternator cover lower bolt, the top ones are closer to 2 inches in length. The only other place I can remember seeing one like this that's not readily visible was possibly in the rear fender liner but I think they were thicker.
