Flash speed won't slow down

I installed the UFO light from hightechspeed and removed my rear turn signals. After calling them about the flash speed they refered me to digikey to get 2- 25 watt 10 ohm resistors. They said to hook each resistor to the turn signal wires and run them to ground. The damm things will not slow down. I tried to hook them up to the wire coming into the flasher figuring get it before it hit the flasher...no luck. Anybody have any ideas? I'm totally baffeled!!!

Hey Links, you need to connect resistors AFTER the flasher unit. Connect each resistor to the same place in the circuit as the old (removed) turn signal bulbs. One side of resistor to old turn signal lead, the other side to ground (frame). That should slow ya down!

Stil not working... connected restistors after flash unit and it didn't slow them down. I called hightechspeed and they won't be back until monday. I guess i'll try then.

Links, what exactly won't slow down, your fronts, or the UFO lights in your tail light? For a test, you could re-connect your old turn signals, and see if everything runs normal! And if the UFO lights are still speeding, it's a software (firmware/hardware) issue!
